Like all construction costs – Prices vary and are dependent upon several things.
Costs vary depending on the materials used, labour price and wall size.
To build a retaining wall, starting costs are approx $350/sq metre. The site and materials are also taken into consideration
Please request a quote so we can give you an accurate price

City Council approval may be necessary to ensure the public’s safety and the environment.
A retaining wall under 1 metre should not require approval UNLESS there is an overlay on the land eg bushfires, wetlands, heritage
Local City Council (LCC) approval may be necessary to ensure the public’s safety and the environment.
It is always best to speak to us and we can advise you the steps to take so that your retaining wall can be approved and built without council headaches.

Retaining walls are not classed as fences under the Neighbourhood Disputes Resolution Act 2011.
They are built to ensure that excavated soil is kept in place. They are typically not shared in costs as one neighbour benegfits from a retaining wall more than the other. If there is confustion or a dispute QCAT may need to be involved to settle the dispute.

It was an extremely large endeavour, one that I started with much apprehension when I was sourcing quotes. From the get-go, Rod was approachable, knowledgeable, and always happy to take the time to discuss any of my concerns or queries. Throughout the build, Rod, Simon and Damian were all approachable and happy to talk timelines, next steps and about what they were doing. Rod was always transparent with costings and when issues arose communicated them timely before costs were incurred. There were several changes that needed to happen throughout the build to suit other trades, the pool builders, and an increase in wall size. Rod always worked with me through the issues to achieve the best result for me. I am very happy with the outcome of the renovations and impressed with the quality of their work.  I would certainly recommend Aesthetic Landscapes & Retaining walls Pty Ltd for any of your landscaping needs.
